A native of Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Brian O. Coleman recieved his doctorate in dental medicine from Southern Illinois University. Dr. Coleman served as a resident at Bethesda Naval hospital National Capital Region in Bethesda, Maryland and he served for six years at home and abroad as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy Dental Corps.
Deeply involved in professional and business organizations, Dr. Coleman is a Central District Trustee for the Florida Dental Association (FDA). He also serves on the Council for Membership of the American Dental Association, and is Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Orlando VoTech Dental Assistant program. Some of his memberships include the American Dental Association, Hispanic Dental Association, National Dental Society of Greater Orlando, the Occlusal Study Club of Central Florida, African American Chamber of Commerce, Sigma Phi Pi Fraternity, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, and Florida Citrus Sports. Dr. Coleman is a veteran Dive-Master in the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). Recently, Dr. Coleman was awarded fellowship into the American College of Dentists, and is in the Pierre Fauchard International Honorary Dental Society.
Dr. Coleman and his staff share a strong commitment to community service, volunteering their time at health fairs, Special Olympics, African-American Male Health Summit, American Diabetees Association, Coalition for the Homeless, Orlando Dental Research Clinic, Salvation Army, and the national acclaimed Give Kids a Smile program. His service has earned Dr. Coleman the FDA's Project Dentist Care Award for his commitment to the underserved populations of Central Florida. Through Education and establishing positive relationships, Dr. Coleman and the Omega Dental Group staff strive to make a difference in helping people understand the importance of good oral health care and the impact it has on overall health.
As a general family dental practitioner, Dr. Coleman is involved in all aspects of comprehensive dental health care, with a special emphasis on disease prevention. In private practice for more than 15 years, he maintains a state-of-the-art dental facility to provide patients with the latest diagnostic and treatment procedures.
